QUOTE OF THE MONTH

February, 2012

"It is the duty of all men in society, publicly, and at stated seasons, to worship the SUPREME BEING, the great Creator and Preserver of the universe. And no subject shall be hurt, molested, or restrained, in his person, liberty, or estate, for worshipping GOD in the manner most agreeable to the dictates of his own conscience; or for his religious profession or sentiments; provided he doth not disturb the public peace, or obstruct others in their religious worship." --John Adams, Thoughts on Government, 1776

Remember Our Veterans"I am appalled to know that someone who actually places themselves in a position whereby they could be severely and forevermore debilitated, or even lose their life - for America/Americans – may then have to pay from their own pocket – to receive medical care after they return home – or, maybe because of their disability, have difficulty in meeting their financial obligations to take care of themselves or their families!" - Robert

Why is the United States Government Financing Our Foreign Competition?  new

February 16, 2012

RedState.com, Posted by Ben Howe

Dear Friends,

Here is a quote from the feature article this week: “We cannot continue to risk American tax dollars to finance our own competition. The Ex-Im authorization must be reviewed, and the mandates that are not being followed must be enforced.”
Once again, we must emphasize that it is “NOT” the amount each person should be paying in taxes; but the fact that the government cannot manage correctly any tax dollars properly!!!
If they are going to use tax dollars against the very citizenship that pays it; how can anyone justify paying a single dollar to them.
It is time to scream your indignation of these practices to your representatives!

Righteous Anger! - February 15, 2012

Dear Friends,
The transgressions against God and His Faithful by the evil enemies of God and America have (for some time now) exceeded a reasonable level, for which the True, lover of God, America and our Freedoms and Liberties – should be expected to be able to remain silent!
Not only have we surpassed the respectable limit for our restraint to be unleashed – we have gone beyond the point where God would expect that we should become “Righteously Angry” with those who are responsible for these continuing attacks upon God and our Rights which He has endowed to us!
The ignorant, marshmallow, cupcake-Christian, MUST at some point take up their professed love for God – and come against those who would defy the America Christian to live – according to the, Rights, Liberties and LAWS of America entitle us to!
We must be very careful with regard to anger. I am sure that in his strategy – Satan hopes
to use anger to cause the American Christian to sin and lose sight of the Righteous way in
which a Godly Anger could be used to rally the faithful.
It is hoped that the attached article can illuminate the important spiritual understanding of
“Anger” – both good and bad.
Robert

REAL AMERICAN HEROES
February, 2012 new
I WONDER? Robert Buckner, January 31, 2012

I Wonder

I wonder if there is anything; any act, any event, any gift, anything which happens in one’s lifetime – no matter how incredible – that the true and full importance and appreciation of it, might not somehow diminish somewhat from the moment when it was fresh and new?

I am caused to think of those brave young Americans who are presently placing themselves between America’s enemy and our front doors. Every day that they awake – there is that possibility that they may be seriously wounded, physically-disabled, forever emotional-scared, lose their ability to ever sleep peacefully though the entire night again - or die. Today we honor them, but how soon will our gratitude begin to fade?

I wonder about those who had, in previous wars, given of themselves. What of those who served in Viet Nam? Would their lives have been different today if they had gone to college instead of war? Would they have been better equipped to provide for their families, earn more money and have a higher-level life-style today?

Did they incur any emotional scars that forever impacted them and their ability to compete with those who were not subject to what they experienced? Was their future potential diminished in any way? When they returned and had to sneak through the airport (out of uniform) in order to keep from being slandered and verbally-scourged by their fellow citizens – did that alter their ability to foster a healthy self-worth or limit their self-esteem?

And, for those citizens who did acknowledge these people who had risked their lives – did there come a time when even their professed gratitude slowly waned?

I wonder – do selfless acts and incredible deeds ever stand the test-of-time? Is Man’s urge for the present and the future so commanding of our consciousness that we find it difficult to retain a respect, a remembrance and an, “Honor” for those people and their acts which are worthy of honor forever?

I wonder – what if the Apostles did not have the fortitude, the love, the physical-strength or spiritual will to endure what they did endure? They had the knowledge. They understood the secret. Yet, they persevered and continued in their efforts, for all of those to come.

I wonder about the catalysts which triggered the chain of events that put into motion all of the necessary circumstances which brought the coming-together of more than 250 men who became the Founding Fathers of America.

I wonder what my life would be like had they not had the spiritual-desire to serve God and a desire to establish a Land, a county, a nation, whereby all men could be Free to worship God and propagate Christianity?

I wonder if, after they bravely determined that this was the course that they would choose, they could not; “Mutually pledge to each other their Lives, their Fortunes and their Sacred Honor,” and subsequently fight a war to secure it!  Where would we be today?

I wonder – what of all of the men who have fought, just in the history of America, for their Sacred Honor and the Honor of God and country – how different would today be had it not been for what they did?

I wonder if even though there might be incredible and wondrous things which were done for us, or for our benefit, many, many years ago and now is less bright in our memories – if it would not be appropriate and honorable to move them forward in our daily meditation, thoughts and remembrance?

There is One who knows better than anyone, Man’s weaknesses and shortcomings. God in His wisdom commanded that we gather around The Table every First Day of the week in order to publicly – “Remember” His Son, Jesus Christ and His – Death, Burial and Resurrection!

I wonder if this insight via our Creator does not best answer all of the other “I wonders” in this thought?

A Nation of Takers!
Government policy is making welfare more profitable than work -
The Washington Times, By Ed Feulner, February 13, 2012

Dear Friends,
I am certain that our children will never know the America that the majority of us have been blessed to know. The creation of the nanny state will take the best qualities and traits away from them, and they may well put up with it!
When do we say, “ENOUGH”????

Government Assistance - A Safety Net or a Hammock? -
Townhall.com, Bob Beauprez, February 10, 2012

Dear Friends,
Listen to these words:
“According to the newly released report, the average amount of federal benefits received by individuals now exceeds the average disposable personal income level in the nation, suggesting it is more profitable for many to rely on government assistance than to work.”
This is a continuation from last week’s publication of the Heritage Foundation’s 2012 index of dependence on government. I do not believe that we can stress enough how dangerous this is for the stability and longevity of this nation, if this cannot be reduced immediately!
2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 “For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. 11 For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. 12 Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread.”
Here is another article to the dangers mentioned!

Obama's Continuing Assault on the Constitution!
The Heritage Foundation, Morning Bell, February 14, 2012

Dear Friends,
I was going to go back and count that amount of articles that we have published from all the various sources that have this very same theme; however, there were so many that the task seemed to daunting to attempt.
When is it going to dawn on us, this president will not rest until the constitution is completely irrelevant? Now consider four more years of this destruction! What is his aim; European socialism! Are you motivated to act yet?

California's Not Dreamin': This Is the Nightmare of an Obama Second Term!
by Roger Hedgecock, February 16, 2012

Dear Friends,
This is an interesting parity that has also played out in Detroit and Chicago as well; where similar social overspending and union dominated spending is bankrupting the governments.
Our founders knew that government could never be as efficient as the citizens and worked diligently to limit the size and scope of government. This is why that model must return!

COFFEE HURTS
I was eating lunch on the 20th of February with a friend and her 6-year-old granddaughter.
She was pretty animated as she talked about school and friends and teachers.
As I sipped my coffee, I asked her, "What day is tomorrow?"
She said "It's President's Day!"

She is a smart kid. So, I asked "What does President's Day mean?"
Waiting for her reply with something about Washington or Lincoln etc.
She replied, "President's Day is when President Obama steps out of the White House,
and if he sees his shadow we have one more year of unemployment."

You know, it hurts when hot coffee spurts out your nose.
